Default Redfish

Fished the Gulf today just off Johnsonís beach. We caught several oversized redfish and saw one Cobia..
Tagged a triple tail 14Ē in the bay..
I saw something I have never seen in the gulf..
We spotted a massive school of redfish off Johnsonís beach and eased up on them from upwind. I figured they would eat everything we threw.. we followed them on top for 20 minutes or so and threw everything we had at them....they would not eat..Iíve never seen that before.. schools of reds always gobble whatever you throw..live bait, dead bait and artificial bait. They showed no interest.
This was a massive school they were swimming along kinda lethargically..
We. Gave up on them and found a few pairs and singles and caught them.

Interesting. I’ve seen that before. Never in the panhandle. Only in SW Florida on the flats. Did you try a gold spoon? .

I know why you had never seen this before, it's because you had never fished with Tony when he brought his Banana for lunch.........

Yeah...not sure if it would have made a difference. When they’re not hungry, they don’t eat anything. Very frustrating.
