Default NOAA 2-3 Today (03/28/19)

As usual, NOAA was WRONG!!! 2-3???? Maybe parts of the bay! I always joke about adding 2 to their estimates...but today was a bit sporty. Only got out 10 miles and got beat to death. Fed flipper a few small snappers and caught 1 small trig. Also caught this little fella on a sabiki...

I thought at 1st it was a wahoo but then some kings have various coloring....purty little thing!!!

Yeah the bay called for less than a foot. Yeah right! It was closer to 2 ft when we launched. But it did calm down..

Those little things are actuall good eating. White flesh- I had them eating live cigs off the beach one spring a few years back. Cool fish, they look like a true bonito no our normal bobos

That’s actually a bonito. The fish everyone around here calls a bonito, is a false albacore, or little tunny.
Occasionally, the true Atlantic bonito will show up this time of year. I think 2 years ago there were tons on the beach front Destin to Perdido. Some reaching several pounds.
