Default Monday Trip

Took advantage of the nice weather and 1’ or less seas to make run offshore. Picked up some cigs near the Mass and then hit some public numbers on the way out to the Edge. Numerous small trigger, nice red snapper that went back for another day. Kept a few small almaco for the box using a jig and then continued out to the Edge. Good to see numerous boats out enjoying the day.

Had a good scamp bite early but fell one short of a limit. Managed to find a couple of nice trigger and lane snapper. Also caught and released AJ, gags, and one 6’ shark. One last stop to get our limit of mingo and then headed home to be back at the dock at 4:00.

Strange that you can’t see the pic as it shows up just fine when I pull up the post. Is there a link or icon that you can click on?

I took my son and neighbor out on Monday as well. It was a near perfect day (weather and temp and fish). Trigger, lesser AJ’s and snapper. We did some high speed trolling for wahoo, but nothing hit. I think the water is still a little dirty. I saw 3 Cobia in about 80’ of water, but had too much gear out to stop. Cut cigars seemed to work fine for us. I wish I could figure out how to catch the grouper!
