Default Got a few miles off shore today....

Even though it was more of a cruising trip I did take a couple poles... Glad I did cause the bobos were crushing it today!!! Kaitlyn on her 1st attempt GOT SPOOLED!!!! I figured it was a good size BFT but could have been a monster bobo or the tax man getting his cut and she was using one of my bull red rods so I knew it could handle it. Guess NOT!!!

I got out a little off shore today with wifey and daughter amd her fiance... no selfies today but got some shots of daughter and future son n law. I took a couple rods just in case we saw bonitas busting and we chased a bunch of schools. I have never had radar or autopilot so I played with it a bit. I set the auto pilot for a way point then I thought i canceled it. NOPE.... scared me cause I was steering the boat and it wasn't acting right. Finally turned off the radar and the steering was ok... learning curves! Also forgot to take the VHF antenna down when headed home but discovered it a few miles down the road... not sure if I hit any traffic lights!!! Also had a dude compliment me on my fishing attire and another woman pulled up and gave me a thumbs up on the boat name!!!!

Kaitlyn caught 2 bobos well actually 2.5 since the tax man got his share. Johnny caught 1.2 since his 2nd was about 8 inches long!!! Hahaha. My daughter whooped him! Couldn't get many #'s on MPG and all... I got her up to 45 (a little rough) and was registering 2.5 -2.7... that's with about 35 gal in the tank...

Next time, toss that 8" bait back in the water with a hook in it and see what happens.

He's gotta leave those crappie rods at home to do that though.
