We spent a couple hours catching bait before heading out to calm seas and a bright sun. Goal was to fish natural bottom for scamp and avoid the aj and sharks; we probably were asking for too much but it was the most productive day I have had for scamp. Pics are a couple of the gooduns and the full catch before they hit the knife. Awesome trip with a great crew!

Curious as to how far out you guys went? Trying to learn about natural bottom fishing and catching scamp

We were fishing the edge. It was a long ride; I fell asleep with the engines at 4000rpm and woke up when the helm throttled down at the spot.
