Got some time off from work so a buddy and I made a last minute trip down from Auburn and fished Wednesday and Thursday. Couldn't have asked for nicer conditions. Water was beautiful.

We weren't having much luck getting the anchor to stick on Wednesday so we decided to do some trolling. Caught probably 15 bonito between the two of us and then finally pulled up something different. I got my first blackfin tuna! Caught me completely by surprise because we were maybe only 8 miles out.

Got tired of trolling when the bite slowed down and headed back closer to shore. Got my first trigger and caught a couple mingos. Bite stopped there and we ended up spot fishing some lady fish in the pass before heading back.

Thursday the water was even nicer but the bite was slower. Caught a remora and a few more mingos and decided to take my boat all the way to the edge to see what it was like since the water was so nice. Passed some small weed clumps on the way but didn't produce anything. Didn't catch anything on the edge and headed back to shore. Spot fished some bonito on the way back and called it a day since we had to drive back to Auburn. A trolling motor has been added to my list of things to buy now.
