Default Woohoo! Going offshore

All my years of fishing and the farthest I have been offshore is in my yak! I have the opportunity to head offshore on Tuesday and needless to say I am pretty excited about it. The guy I'm going with said he has all the gear, but I'm still bringing a BG30 spooled with 50# PP on an UglyStik jigging rod. I have no idea what's biting, but hopefully I can drag something up from the depths. More or less just venting my excitement, but if anyone has any tips, pointers, ideas feel free to let me know. I'm gonna grab a few 3-5oz Williamson jigs and see if I can jig something up. Other than that, I'm just excited to be able to go out where you can't see land. I'll be sure to post a report. Thanks!
