Wonder about offshore or inshore charter?
I'm looking for advice about offshore vs. inshore fishing? I want to take my father fishing when we visit Pensacola in late July. We've never been saltwater fishing, and he may never have another chance. So I want something that will give him a special memory.
We would share a charter or join up with some other folks to make a 6 person trip. That's what some friends recommended who have fished out of Destin many times. I thought some additional input would be a good idea before I booked a charter.
I'm interested in lots of action, with big fish that are good to eat. (I'd like to take something home for a big backyard cook.) Of course, a big fish that's not fit to eat is OK, too. Who doesn't like to catch big fish???
Anyway, does it sound like a 12 hour charter is the right idea? That's what I initially thought.
Also, is Destin the way to go? I don't know anyone that's chartered out of Pensascola, but I know several who have gone out of Destin, so that's all I've heard so far.
Thanks for your help.
