Hey guys, Saturday looks like it will be warm with calm seas. If this forecast holds, my brother and I will be taking my mom and a couple of my aunts fishing. My preferred spot would be some natural bottom, 10 miles SE of Pensacola Pass but I also have some spots on pyramids to the SW about 5 miles. This is really meant to be a fun day. It's fine if we catch a bunch of snapper that we have to throw back. I just want them to catch fish.
So anyway, I've got good spots that are 5 - 10 miles SE and/or SW of the pass. I haven't fished much in January/February. If these spots hold fish in late Fall, will they hold fish in the middle of Winter? Any input is appreciated. These ladies just lost their mother, my grandmother, I want to give them a little break.
