Default Snapper season ??

This might be a dump question to many but if I do not know I always ask! Is snapper season open on July 10?

The only dumb question is a question not asked. That is the reason the forum is here...for information and sharing. At least as of right now Snapper season is open on the tenth, but can be closed early if the powers that be deem the species overfished!!!

It must be overfished, hardly any have been caught in the last two weekends.

Thats what they are saying I guarantee you, but we all know you can not catch snapper in your living room. The seas have just been too bad for most to venture out.

Doesn't the season close at 12:01 am on the 10th? Meaning it really closes on the 9th.
