Default Snapper Fishing Question

I am curious has to the type of set ups most folks use for Snapper. I'm doing fine catching the endangered things, but I admit that I am pretty new to bottom fishing.

Here are the questions:

1) Pound test line? I use 40# with 7-10 lbs of drag
2) Pound test leader? I use 60#
3) Knot for the Hook? I use a snell or if in a hurry an improved cinch
4) What type of knot do you use to form the loop at the end of the leader for the swivel? I make a loop then pull it through 3 to 4 over hand knots
5) What size circle hook? I use 3/0 Mustad or Owner

Many thanks!

Your doing just fine. Lighten up the line size if needed.

I always chum and catch them on top.

That will work just fine but I use a San Diego jam knot to attach the swivel and I use 6/0 Demon circle non offset hooks. Sharp as owners at half the price. get the heavy ones too.

Plus one on the 6/0's, I like to put the heat on them and get them up before flipper or sharks eat them and the smaller hooks will straighten.

I go with 6/0 also, and 10/0 if I'm after the really big boys. It's amazing how big a bait they will take if you fire them up with some chum.
