Default small boats....who's going out tom.

I usually venture out in my 17' er .....wondering who's going out tomorrow friday, what do you think about the morning hrs...5am to 10am max...I don't trust the weather people no more...I usually make it to the pass and if it looks good I head south till I find the fish. Good luck.

Headin out at 6 in a 21' blazer bay. If the east at 5-10 holds true then we should be alright. Only gonna venture 7 or 8 miles out. Went out last week and it took about a mile south of the pass before the chop cleared up and made a nice ride.

They are calling for 1-2 but I am guessing it will be more like 2-3 with the occasional 4 foot roller !! Be careful ! Not sure which pass your talking about but I know that the Destin pass can be wicked at times...

I went yesterday (Thurs.) AM in a 21 foot Wellcraft and it was bumpy 2 to 3 and wet. Doable but not comfortable. There were still some swells from the SE that made it somewhat miserable until you got to spot.

destin pass is no joke when that tide is running and all the traffic through there makes it easier to get swamped so be careful if you fish that area

hit the pass at sunrise, wasn't that bad till the wind shifted out of the east. Sealark was right... With 5 miles out into the drink, we were half way to the spot , so we said screw it and made our way out.... all in the name of fishing . Man talk about free roller coaster rides and 'perfect storm' movie scenes, (for a 17'er ) stupid I know but hey, we took it as it came and managed our 4 ars. Not that'll I do it again, but I'm glad I know what is like now.

Saturday
Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways a light to moderate chop. Slight chance of showers.

Remember they declare the middle sets not the highest peak waves so expcet some bigger then 4'.

I was all set and cnx there are just too many good days to take the beating and risk tragedy with the cooling water temps.
