Default Shake out trip Destin Tuesday

Got a rig that should work great for state waters, and a little farther...given you pick your days. Ran it off of the CA and OR coast plenty but this is the first time we will run it around the gulf. Since the hurricane has made a mess of PC, figured I would run out of Destin on Tuesday...Wondering where most guys launch in Destin with a 20' rig, and what to expect checking out state numbers west of the pass? Figuring on trolling unless/until the depth finder lights up. As well, anything out of the ordinary I should know about the pass?

Thanks in advance!

Check out fishingdestinguide.com. it's a good place to start and has an extensive list of coordinates, a calendar for what fish are around at different points of the year, and lot of other good info.

I believe the Destin Marina boat launch is still closed so Joe's Bayou is probably the closest launch to the pass. Not sure how good the trolling will be, it seems the kings aren't quite here yet, the spanish are just showing up but bonita are fun to catch and you might luck into some tuna. As far as public reefs go, the further you get from the pass the better. It seems the legal size trigger are in 80+' and the mingos are in 150'+, but red snapper and undersized aj are all over the place
