Default Rod selection....?

Lot of opinions on this forumn...so bring it!

I am getting 2 PENN Squall Lever Drag 2-Speed 30's and need to pair them up with rods. Going to use them for wahoo and such. What rod length and type would you recommend. I am a weekend warrior, fishing a 24' center console.

Second how would you spool them?

Thanks!!!!!!!

It's a sure thing that the forum members that own/work in tackle shops can help you make your selection. Based on what your target species are going to be and your reel, they can help you select the best line/line combo and rod for your fishing pleasure.

For the money, The new Penn Ally standup rods are hard to beat at 150.00. They have a roller stripper and tip with HD Fujis between. I sell Squall 30VSW and 50VSW combos with these rods and every one who has bought/used them is happy so that would be a good starting point. If you want something full roller and with a stiffer action, I'd suggest a Star Handcrafted B30/80HDSHC. There are several others as well of course but these are the first two that pop into mind
