Default Panhandle lobster traps?

Ive been wondering lately if it would be possible to set some lobster traps on natural bottom offshore and what the legalities of this are.

Recreational trapping is prohibited according to the FWC website.

Commercial trapping is allowed, with the appropriate permits.

They don't go into the traps I have tried it years ago before any regs were in place in the early 70s.

I must add that where I tried was in jacksonville in 110 ft of water. I dove a day before and seen the lobsters in a ledge. Went back with traps next day lobster were still there when I set three traps. Went back next week traps were empty lobster were still there. Cought 5 and removed traps. The lobsters were big spineys. The shovel nose might go in traps. Find a spot that has them and try.
