Default One bad arse reel!

These are built in New Jersey by canyon reels, Don is the owner and we have been going back and forth for weeks on a purchase. I finally decided on the 2 speed hs, spooled with 80# blue Jery Brown hollow core with a 30 ft flouro topshot. The reel he is building for me is all black, check out the specs!

Don has the body of the reels built elsewhere and all the internal parts are put together by Don in his shop, built by hand one at a time!

***I am not advertising for Don, just excited about the reel and would like some feedback from you guys.

Canyon Reels HS-30 Jigging Reel - Two Speed

Canyon Reels HS-30 Jigging Reels are designed to stop the meanest of fish. The HS-30 is a two speed jigging reel with 80lbs of drag. The HS-30 has been tested on the finest of todays vertical jigging rods and has proven to stand up to every task put before it. The smaller size and weight make for a longer day of fishing without the fatigue associated with larger reels that are as strong.
The easy one touch gear shifter is easily engaged while in use. No more heavy reels to battle with, the HS-30 is under 29ozs.
Available in a variety of colors to match your taste and let you stand out in the crowd in appearance as well as performance!
  • 2 Way Braking System: for peice of mind when fighting larger fish.
  • ABEC Bearings: 6 Stainless ABEC5 ball bearings for extreme smoothness
  • Extreme Power: An incredible 78lbs of drag pressure at max strike position. Unheard of strength for its size
  • Gear Ratio: 2 speed ratiso - 4.8:1 and 1.8:1
  • Line Capicity: Holds 450 yards of 30lb mono. Great for deep water jigging
