Default Offshores top water lures

Hi guys, I am new to fishing and I have a question on top water lures to have on board for Spanish, chicken dolphins and other smaller species. Since I have been going out offshores, I have often noticed a group of top water fish and I was wondering what's the best lures to have in my tackle?

My favorite is a straw rig using a McDonald's straw. I make mine using a 4" red/white balsa slip float, a one ounce sinker, a swivel, 32" of 80# mono, 1/3 of a doubled (one inside the other) McDonald's straw, and a #1 treble hook.

Catches everything that feeds on minnows on the surface; mahi, spanish, kings, blackfin, hardtails, and tons of boboes.
