Default offshore weather

What are most people using? some friends heading out of fouchon Thursday night and coming in sunday, plan on going out 100 miles or so. Looks kinda snotty to me?

What size boat? Looking snotty to me for anything under 60'. Sat-Sun Im seeing 5-6' seas. No thanks.

Alright, Im 40NM from shore right now and its 3' seas from the east with a 5' swell thrown in. Our weax is calling for 4-6 thru Sunday. Don't think I would waste the money on fuel even if I was on a 60' boat.
