Default Next years snapper season...

Anyone know what they're doing about next years season, are they still working on it? The snapper fishing was the best I've seen in my life this year, I just hope for everyones sake they keep it open for a while.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one....

I would be surprised if they made a decision by April on the 2011 season. It's a lose--lose situation. You tell them we caught a ton this year that there are more snapper than there have ever been and they will say we are over fishing them. You say that you did not catch a lot this year then they will say that the snapper stock is too low.... I would GUESS that we will have the same June 1-July 24 season next year....if we are lucky..
