Default May come over to Appalachicola

Me and my good fishing buddy Philip may bring the Betty B over to Appalachicola or that vicinity this coming weekend. We'd like to get offshore and do some bottom fishing and maybe even deep drop even though its a long run out from there. Anyone have any pointers? Never fished that particular area before. Any advice would be appreciated

Acording to my garmin chart, it's around 30+ miles to 100' water. Going to 150', you are going to travel around 60 miles.

Maybe Jacksonville or somewhere on the east coast might be better for deep droping??

Try this link for some public numbers: http://floridasportfishing.com/magaz...nu-141/table/2

I'm going to try Carrabelle in a few days myself.

Yeah, its a hike to deep water but we're certainly not strangers to long runs and don't mind the haul as long as its reasonably promising. There is still some open water slightly west of there so hitting 600+ft is a little bit closer.

Man thanks for that. I have been wanting to ask the same thing but just could not bring myself to do it. I could not fing that list via google and you just saved me $20 on a hot spots map! We are doing the port st. joe scallop deal mid next week and I wanted to do a bottom trip. Thanks again.
