Default Looking for a charter and some info

Hi All :

We were planning a long off shore trip on or around Aug 12th. Called around today and had a hard time finding which boats were going out. Also was told that federal waters are off limits. Looking at map from NOAA looks like some federal waters to the SE are open. What is the deal?

Can I have some recommedations or should we scrap the trip? Also - any chance red snapper season gets extended?

Wow, 3rd post and you actually posted in the right section! Welcome to the PFF.

About the charters... I don't know of any, but we'll keep bumping this thread for any that do.

Extend snapper season.... that was a good one

Yes - I probably have posted in wrong one in the past

We typically charter one or twice a year as we have a place in Destin. Was hoping for a great one this year but doesn't sound good

Default Out of Destin

If you are planning fishing from Destin, the Rita Kay owened by Capt. Buddy Godwin is a favorite. My brother comes down from Chattanooga and goes out with him twice a year and has been coming back for about 15 years now. I think you can google the boat on the internet for info. Buddy has been working out of town moving vessels for some company but I think when he is gone a family member is running the Rita Kay. He is a nice guy.

You might check with Capt. Johnny Greene on the Intimidator. He is located at Orange Beach Marina ..... Gulf Shores, Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Charters
