Default Live bait in destin?

Heading over to destin to go offshore tomorrow and was wondering is there a bait man like we have in panama? If so where do we find him? Headed to the timber holes, how's the fishing looking out that way right now? Thanks

Scott with Jugghead live bait on vhf channel 69, the ONLY place to go for live bait!!! unless you catch them yourself. But man live bait has been scarce the last two weeks! We have spent a lot of time chasing bait here in destin. Even scott has been moaning on the radio about it doesn't get any worse than this, no bait. lol. We usually hit him up and head offshore rather than wasting time chasing it. I hope scott gets them little baits turned around and cooperating!

There was some bait on Saturday inshore by Crab Island. It wasn't a lot but there was some.

I'm not trying to negate legitimate bait business, but when I was out Saturday I caught live fresh bait at almost every number with a sabiki...Mostly tomtates(Ruby Red Lips) but they did the job. You can also stop at the mouth of the bay and search out the cigar minnow schools. A sabiki may be a pain in the butt, but it'll get you your bait on the numbers...besides the larger predatory fish you're after are there for the bait fish. Give them an easy pick with the one on your hook. I'm sure you already know this, not intending to insult a fisherman's know-how. Hell, I brought up a scamp on a sabiki on Saturday...true story. The fish I caught, in rather good numbers and decent size, were off of the bait I caught with a sabiki on the very same reef. Good luck! Tight lines! YRM
