Default keeping eels alive

I know this has prob been asked before but i did a search and have come up empty on finding info on this so does anyone have any tips on keeping eels alive for an extended period of time.....as in 2-5 days? I have only tried to keep them alive over night on ice in a damp cloth or in a livewell and have had no problems but have never tried to keep them more than one night. Will a damp cloth in the fridge keep them for 2 or 3 nights or maybe keeping them in an aquarium or something? thanks a bunch

Just change the water twice a day...they will be fine if its not alot of them...Livewell would be ideal though.

They will stay alive for a long time in a livewell. Never tried keeping them out of the water though.

The live well is the key. Take some short pieces of PVC put them in your livewell . They will sink to the bottom. The eels love to get into the PVC and all you have to do is pick up a piece of PVC pour the eel s ina bucket and the put on the hook. We keep eels for weeks. Scotch-brite pads will help you hold the eels for hooking! Capt. Ben Charterboat necessity
