Default Jigging for red snapper

Do any of you guys use shimano butterfly jigs for red snapper? If so, how fast do you jig and do you drop all the way to the bottom and jig on the way up?

We jig for them. I only work the jig about half way up with a little bit slower action than you would for a AJ and try to use a light of jig as possible to get the most action you can. Pink jigs have worked for us the best on red snapper

I like a heavy diamond jig tipped with squid and do real good with it.
