Default jigging

coming from louisiana, going to Pensacola. were used to jigging rigs, not to familiar with drifting reefs and wrecks. any tips on the techniques that work the best? also, jigging rods have #100 power pro, is this going to be overkill? we do use various size flouros. where is the best place to find bait (pinfish, porgies, cigar minnows) both live and dead? thanks for the info, tight lines and calm seas
we will be targeting groupers, ajs, and anything on the troll

Most of the bridges and grass flats are good places to find pin fish, also, you have a good chance of finding some nice size thread fins and other bait around those areas. Most artificial lures are going to work, just be sure to bring some natural bait just in case. 100 lb braid is ok when targeting anything jigging (in my opinion), just be sure to use a long enough leader 20-25ft. Start with the 100lb and if the bite is slow, move to 80# and so on... Good luck and post up a report on how it went
