Default Frozen chum question

Got a box of Lunds Fisheries Inc menhaden chum. Never dealt with frozen stuff, just dry and mixed feelings about that on 2 trips, 50/50.
This stuff chunky? Have old laundry bags with what looks like 1/4" mesh, think its too small. Should I upgrade to 1/2" or 3/4" (if I can find it) ? Don't want to have to cut this thing in 1/2 lengthwise to fit into PVC tube. But if I have to, I'll do it.....

Depends on what you're chumming but the laundry bag types let very little chum into the water, mostly just scent. I like large mesh to let some meat get out there and keep the fish in the chum line.
