Default First time to fish out of Destin...got questions

Looking at the maps I see it far deep close to shore than Orange Beach. What are the odds of finding Dauphin within 3 or 4 miles off shore?

I have a 22ft bay boat. Should i expect about the same water conditions leaving the pass in Destin as Perdido?

Never fished Perdido, but you can find dolphin that close in for sure. You probably won't get any big ones, but there should be small ones around weed lines, floating debris, etc.

Default Destin

Yes, you can get to deeper water quicker out of Destin than Perdido Pass. In close school Dolphin are encountered, the nicer ones are extemely rare inside of 180-240'

East Pass and Perdido are both tight, shallow, and tricky, with lots of boat traffic and water flow. Perdido may be easier of the 2 passes these days.

Good luck
