Default Fall Kings Question

Need a little help. I have fished out of P-cola pass in the summer and caught kings around the bouys with the bump troll method with cigs. Will that same method work this time of year or would we have better luck trolling stretches?

You can cover more ground pulling stretches and will catch average size fish with them but if you want bigger kings try using their main course for this time of year. Live mullet, big live menhaden and hardtails (in that order) would be what they are searching for in and around the pass. Small spanish mackerel have been known to kill a big king too. If you feel like you are in the right spot but not getting any action on the stretches, slow things down and drift or slow troll live bait.

really cool. I can't wait to get out there and try some of this. If I find a school of hardtail , like I have found before, is there an easy way to catch some of them to use for bait?
