Default dolphin/dorado/mahi mahi

Has anybody caught any chickens close to shore in the last few days? I have some guests going fishing with me tomorrow and it would be fun to get them on to some. TIA for any reports and tips about rigging and catching them.

What's your definition of "close"? Look for debris floating. Throw some gotchas. Protect yourself from thrown gotchas. They jump like ladyfish.

We ran straight south yesterday to 28 miles. A few flying fish from about 8m out to 20m. Not massive schools, alot of 1s and fews up to 15 or so. Saw one piece of weed about 2x2'. The water is warm but I think the changing winds are keeping the grass from bunching up. It got very and I mean very hot after about 11. Take plenty of water, go early and come back early. Tight Lines.

Went diving yesterday and pretty much the same as lastcast. We saw a bunch of floating sticks, grass and a balloon but nothing consistant or bunched up.

For the people I am taking out, I define close as within 10 miles or thereabouts. I guess we will troll for macks for a while, etc. and stop whenever I see debris.
