Default Current direction

Last few trips this month, noticed current was west to east. Not sure if this was just surface current because weighted lines did tend to follow current.
Winds were from the west.
Pretty sure it normally goes east to west. Is my memory going??

ETA It was a tough bite each time too.

You didn't mention depth but it sounds like the surface current driven by wind direction. I think your memory is safe unless mine has gone too.

Had several trips in June when the wind and tide were opposite. Hard to hold up. Yesterday tide set to the SE and light breeze from the NW and W. We caught a few fish and had a good mixed bag but sharks took snapper on 3 separate spots.
