Default Coming wednesday

Quick trip this week. Will make it down there Wednesday and then leave Friday evening. Plan on trolling near shore if the weather allows. I normally trip Clark spoons with planers, stretch 15 and 25 and some dusters with cigars. Anything working better than others for Spanish/kings...?

Just messing around last Monday on the way in and had no problem snagging the Spanish on spoons.

I saw it is going to be raining some. Winds don't seem bad. I stay within a few miles of land. Only get a couple trips per year so we are coming and hope for best

Keeping eye on storm, but I only get a couple trips per year due to kids, so unless there seems like no fishing opportunity, we will come. I stay within a few miles of shore, so we can run in if needed

For kings I use bonita Yo Zuri lures... I have one that's blue and gray and troll around at about 6 knots right by the pass... I am two for two with kings that way even caught one while getting towed in from sea tow when our hydraulics went out.

Thanks! I caught a nice king on a live target Spanish lure, but I'll get one of those Bonita ones and give it a shot too!
