Default cobia on a flyrod

I was just thinking how cool it would be to hook a cobia on a fly and was curious if anyone has ever tried it. Would you be able to get a good hook set?

I have tried it over in Ossabow (sp?) sound, not successful yet.... if I had a bigger boat I would definitely try off the beach here.

I have guided several people on flyfishing for Cobia. We were able to set several World Records right here off Orange beach and Pensacola. I will be glad to help you

A good strip set is the key. The two i ever hooked came unglued cause i tried setting with the rod and stripping at the same time. this is not near as solid as a strip set only. You see tarpon fisherman have succsess with a rod set , but tarpon usually go ballistic afterwards, setting the hook themselves. Cobia dont do a thing alot of times after the set. This was my problem anyway.
