Default Army tanks

Has anyone fished the army tanks out of orange beach or the wallace reef.trying to catch some snapper without having to run to far out. Just curious if these spots are all ready fished out

I went and checked out the two closest ones early this spring and didn't mark a tank or a fish. Went right over both #'s. Have heard really good things about them regarding snapper numbers. Start at the third one out and let me know how you do. There's about 100 of em.

Some tanks are gone but most are there. Where there are tanks there are snapper.

Some of the farther out ones are holding good snapper, we threw back any thing under 24 inches last weekend

I have fished twice for snapper so far this season. I was on/around tank 38 (i think whatever first one you come to is just past a tug) just drifting around I think I marked about four other structures while getting ready to anchor. I love the tanks rarely crowded and if they are there is so many.
