Default AJ's and the Gulf Council!

From the behind the desk, far from on the water, report from our own Gulf Council:
Concerning amber jack: :"Adjustments to the rebuilding plan are needed because the current annual catch limit exceeds the new acceptable biological catch." the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) recommended a new acceptable biological catch of 1,780,000 lb, which is less than the current catch limit of 1,830,000 lbs

Now does this really come as a surprise to anyone? And, guess what? The council can also prove that the AJ's are getting much smaller: Bob H.

Haha! Or you can only catch them from 2:35-2:45 AM on a full moon and the limit is half a fish per person.

Thats because you have to share with your local shark population too. Don't be greedy give to the needy.

Just returned from the Middle Grounds. The entire boat 32 people limited out on our two day quota of AJ's. The Grounds are covered with them.
