Default Aj Spots

does anybody have any good public numbers that are holding some nice ajs or good ajs .. my father and two nephews are coming down and i don't have anything that is hold anything that is anywhere close to shore or 30 miles in .. the weather is holding me to 30 miles in bc i don't want any one sea sick or beatin up .. thanks for yalls help .. yall are always great ..

The Tenneco was always to good spot. Haven't been there in a while though...

I would say the Tenneco also. We pulled a 70lb AJ off it a few weeks back. There are plenty of large fish around it but live bait and heavy tackle is the key.

Here is a list of the Public Numbers out of Pensacola and Alabama. Fishing out of Dauphin Island, I would be looking at Alabama's public numbers. The tenneco is about a26 milerun from Pensacola Pass. So it's going to be a haul from DI. I just did a rough estimate and it's about 56 miles from DI to the Tenneco.:doh

go out to a rig that is over 100 ft and drop down some live hard tails or jigs. we always seem to catch them this way. you can also try the bridge rubble that is 20 or so miles out. it usually has some on it but they are short. we have our best luck though on rigs deeper that 100 ft.
