North Florida 03/18/11
First trip last year was 4/16, and we got 16, so I decided to try a little earlier this year.
Hit the water a little before dark and fished for an hour with one small trout to show for it. Cranked the Go-Devil up and took off for the creek. I misjudged the route and ran 30 yards up on a mud flat. Good news was the tide was coming in. Bad news is it took 2 hours to float the boat. Finally got into the creek around 10pm and by midnight we had 9.
Not a bad start. Only saw a couple short fish. Most fish were 14-15 inches with one going 18.
The fish are showing up.
