Google Earth is a good resource.

Doubtful anyone will tell you anything other than "the Gulf" or "the Sound" or whatever. I have found a few dependable wading spots but only by getting out there and looking. You can get good clues from this forum. Pay attention to details when somebody posts a good haul on here. Flounder gigging is really more like hunting. Have fun.

Doubtful anyone will tell you where their gigging. Google earth is a great way to look for those sandy beaches and grass beds. Some folks hire a guide to get started such as www.nightshiftcharterservice.com I gave up on walking for flounder as I rarely could find them. Couple guys on here took me with them and all three took me to the same spot, lol. Maybe that's why I never gigged any flounder, they were already in somebody's cooler. I did manage to locate a few spots which I thought were prime, but only saw stingrays. Now that I have a boat I'm thinking to give it another try.

Went last night to a dependable spot and only got one flounder. Hundreds of large stingrays...wader giggers beware!
