Default Getting started

I bought another boat a few weeks ago that might be suitable for gigging. So I thought I might give it a try on my next trip to the coast. I already have a couple of gigs and a few spotlights. Anything in particular that I need to know or do you just go tolling around in the shallows of a pass or inlet, spot the eyes, and stick em?

Any tips would be appreciated.

PS, will be in the Mexico Beach/St Joe area. I thought I might try the Mexico Beach boat channel and the flats outside the intercoastal bridge at St Joe.
