Default A few questions...

Hey all. I'll be processing the paperwork to get my grandfather's boat titled to me and want to get into some gigging. This boat won't be a dedicated gigging boat and any lights will have to be removable. It's a 14 ft fiberglass boat and doesn't have a TM yet, so I'll be pushing along, or parking it and wading. I think the wading might be my cheaper option but just wanted input for those who do both as to what is better for minimal cost for a newbie. Also, as I've always bottom fished around the jetties for them for the most part, I'm at a loss as to even finding places, knowing best tide for going, or even best times of year. I don't want any spots, but would putting in at jims or 17th and going along the grass flats at jims or around the sandy areas in the bay be best? I've caught some doormats around jims when speck fishing before but not sure if that area is good for night time gigging.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
