Thinking about going tonight....any reports from the Bay area? They should be active now...maybe not on the move yet...think its still a bit early.

I went out on Monday the 11th. Fished the grass flats south of Eglin from daybreak til about 10am. Saw a lot of bait but had no luck. Threw everything at them except the anchor. Top waters to gulps, DOA cals / shrimp and gold spoons. I have definitely been having better luck right before sunset. Hope this helps.

I made it out about 8pm till midnight. Wind was blowing fairly hard from the west and could'nt make it to my planned areas. Found a nice protected area in rocky bayou and hunted around the docks. Was very productive for no current at all. Saw tons of 2-3" seadlings which is good encouragement for next season. I limited out (was solo) but nothing big. All ranged from 13" to 17" and most were males.

Thanks for the report !
Been trying to get out for the last 2 weeks or so but too much other stuff going on.
I've just added a 50 watt Starfire II between my two 100 watt AquaStars and I'm anxious to get out and see how much more coverage I'll get.
I live in Niceville and normally launch in Boggy Bayou.
Might give it a try tonight or tomorrow night before that moon gets full.

Good Stickin !
