Default Rough Seas but a Good Bite!

Brother and I went out Sat. Ran into a guy leaving who said it was too rough to keep 3oz pyramids in place. Luckily I had some 5 and 6 oz weights! We got them to hold as long as the sargassum didn't build up too much on the lines. Could not walk out much as the surf was angry! Managed to get 7 pompano, few cats and a pile of ladyfish in about 3 hours on a midday trip. Made for a pile of happy campers back at the camp site that night. Tasty!

Bucket full of lead and plenty of fleas around so we knew we had to try! Couldn't keep the pompano nuggets coming fast enough for the family from out of town. They disappeared quickly around the campfire that evening.

Hard to beat fresh caught fish around the campfire, especially if it's pompano !
