Default Perdido pomp slayer

After watching the 1st quarter of the Bama game, decided to hit the beach with my boys for an hr or so of fresh air. Took my trusty ugly stick a bag of shrimp and a few beers. Before the first cast the blue angels make several passes. Wow. Goose bumps every time. Cast out within 2 mins, fish on. My son reels him in keeper pomp. Next cast, fish on, another keeper pomp. Third cast fish on, short pomp. One of the twins gets to toss him back after dropping it in the sand. Forth cast, nice run no fish. Fifth cast fish on, third keeper pomp. 6th cast short pomp and a foul hooked blue crab. Other twin throws the pomp back after liberally coating it in sand like his brother. Final cast, fish on double whiting. Both small but another return for the twins. By the end of it my eldest was complaining of a sore shoulder from all the work he just did. What an hour of fishing with my boys. Best way for a dad to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Nice catch. Congrats. Boys will remember a day like that for sure. Went to fish the beach myself, but the water was a little too rough, and dirty, for the close in casting a I do.

Looks like the boys had a blast, good times!
Hoping the Pomps are still around in these numbers after the cold front.
Great report....
