Default Navarre Saturday

Wife wanted to go look for shells so I loaded up the rods because it was a beautiful day. One small pompano on some old fishbites.

Appreciate the report & glad that you caught one ! With the closure on speckled trout coming this upcoming Saturday, I'll be ready to start chasing the pompano again.

Fished Navarre beach Thursday from 7am until 3:30. One pompano landed and two baits broken or cut off by unknown (maybe crabs?) critters. The line was broken between the snelled hook and the drop loop knot. I will look at the damaged leaders more closely later. The pompano swam free, a tape was not necessary.
