Default Navarre Beach

Hit up the beach today. 4 oz weight barely held with how rough the surf was. Fished the first sand bar. Had a bigger than most fish on by its weight and drag peeling which I usually keep tighten down. Long story short the fish straighten the hook from a circle to a straight squiggly line. Thoughts? Also caught one keeper pomp. I'm thinking a sheepshead or small shark. Fish fought pretty well compared to a rinky dink pomp or whiting.
