mid march expectations
Hello all. Looking to get my mind right for our trip coming up March 16th – 20th. 6 of us, 3 dads and 3 sons, are heading that way to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday. We be doing quite a bit of fishing from the surf. I have not been in March before so I am looking for some general info about how fishing is this time of the year, typically. Should I expect to catch fish early in the morning on artificials, or is it too early for that? Are there sand fleas around yet or even ghost shrimp (caught and used them in early February before)? I would think there should be some POMPs running, am I completely off on that.
Anything you all want to add to make this a successful trip would be appreciated. We will be on the Florida side on Perdido Key, so we will be fishing that side of the border to keep from buying both states licenses.

Pomps have been hit or miss lately, but it is picking up. Fleas are there, but not in high numbers. Bonita are a possibility in the surf early in the morning.
