Default Mid day trip

The wife and I hit the surf today from 11:30-4:30. Surf is super shallow and it was a hard incoming today. Pulled the first fish in about and hour after setting up. 20-25 pound fish put up a great fight and was sent back quickly. Caught the second about 90 minutes later. 10-12 pound fish was also sent back to the water after a picture. Had the waders and was able to walk out about 50 yards and cast. Thinking the extra distance was a big help with the water being so far off the shore. They all ate shrimp and passed over the mullet chunks.

It is supposed to be 'warm' again tomorrow, and it looks like it would be a fine time for me to get out to Navarre Beach and try my luck. Don't have waders though.
Thanks for sharing your story and pictures.

My brother just got me some waders for Christmas. What shoes are you wearing there?

I don't have any shoes for them. I waer the 2x frogg toggs and wear a size 14 shoe so I haven't tried to figure out what size shoe I'd have to have to hold my foot and the extra water material. I don't think ill need any on the sirf. Operated just fine without them today.
