Default John Beasley park

Has anyone fished or heard any good news around this area? Trying to target pompano or anything other than catfish

I can sure tell you where the Pompano are not and that is at John Beasley park at least they were not there today. Was a total skunk not even a single bite. Looking up and down the beach everyone else appeared to be having the same luck I was

I have fished that area several times and just beyond a few times this year already. I would have to say that the fish are there. Try going down passed Beasley some. There are usually to many people around.

On Saturday the water was very calm and at at low tide I believe and was indeed very crowded after say 10 am. I was fishing about 50 yards to the east of the ramp access in the first cut. The sandbar was quite close and was more of a flat than anything so I waded out around 30 yards to get the bait out some. I did see a stingray and just a few minnow sized fish but that was the only sign of life. I am not at all experienced in saltwater fishing but I just think the the conditions were not favorable for me that day. There were several others fishing and I did not notice anyone else doing any good either. I plan to head to navarre beach this Saturday and try my luck there as well.
