Default first time

On Dauphin Island. Went out and surf fished for the first time and had a blast! Caught catfish, rays, ladyfish and something I am not sure what it was but very small. Anyway my 2 son in laws and myself had a good time. Got casting down pretty good. Used shrimp for bait and Casted DOA on light tackle. No sandfleas in sight though. Goin back EARLY in the morn and try the DOA shrimp. Well that's all for now from this newbie.

Talking

I was thinking of tryin a DOA shrimp under a float about dusk or dawn with my light spinning reel. 12lb test. Does that sound reasonable. BTW thanks to all for the encouragement.
