Default Eop 4/22

I was originally planning on fishing Pickens today and got to Langdon about 6:45. I caught 1 Sheephead down there, but decided to relocate after I counted 45+ rods at Landgon alone. Very crowded.

Turned out to be a pretty good decision. I got set up EOP around 8:00 and managed 4 pompano and 1 catfish by noon. All the pomps were 12-13", no monsters but they'll eat just the same!

It wasn't without it's cost though. My first cast down there my Daiwa Sealine surfrod hand grenaded where the rod breaks apart. Fourtunately I was able to at least keep fishing it with the help of a little duct tape. I'm pretty much done with Daiwa after that, I've fished a lot of their products and haven't been very impressed by any of them.

All the fish were caught on live fleas, past the first bar (same as yesterday). Couldn't even give a bait away inside the bar. Bad news is the June grass seemed to get progressively worse as the morning went on. The SE wind isn't helping it any.

Man, you were just down from us and all we caught was 2 catfish and a turtle. We got there around 0630 and left around 10. At least someone caught something.

Haha, that probably is you guys. The people in the picture did leave about 10. Hate you guys didn't catch any pomps. I was having to wade all the way out to the bar and cast from it.

I was doing the same, I had my 12 foot way past the sand bar, my 9 foot near the sand bar and a 7 foot off the beach. Oh well it was still nice out there.
