Default Destin Pomps

Got set-up around 4:00pm yesterday afternoon. Got first 2 rods out and got hit instantly. Two pomp’s undersized. Action was good as I put a limit in the box by 6:00. Also a ray and 3 blues. Around 5:30 one of the rods starting bouncing. Typical pomp hit till I grabbed the rod. I had the big ‘C’ on as I held on and watched the 30# PowerPro strip from my reel. I tightened the drag as I saw the bare metal of the spool with only a few windings of braid left. Luckily, the fish let go just then. I retrieved the line. My pomp rig was intact and I was surprised that neither 1/0 circle hook was straightened. Don’t know what it was, but it sure was fun...

Nice haul, most likely fault hook a stingray in the wings, o a big jack .
What was the choice of bait?
